Good news and Bad news on IPad

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

Good news and Bad news on IPad. Mr. Jobs delivered something last night (or is it yesterday?) that many people had been waiting for. But it turned out that many people got disappointed by the surprise. Let me share with you some good news and bad news I conceived.

Bad news:

  • No Multitasking. For me this is the most disappointment. I assumed the lack of multitasking in iphone is because of the memory limitation. But Ipad was claimed to have more memory than iphone, then why? Why, apple? Why, Mr. Jobs?? Enlight us, please!
  • No file browser. I couldn’t find it. Anybody can confirm? Where can we open files downloaded from the internet?
  • Not supporting all video formats. As usual, only mp4 or mov files. It’s possible that apple just so lazy to make codecs for other formats, but I just assumed that they want people to buy movies from them. A bit mendoukusai, but we can just convert movies to mp4.
  • Can it read external HD? Didn’t see anyone mention about it. With 16G (cheapest) only storage, ext HD will be helpful.

Now, good news.

  • Iphone/Ipod apps can run flawlessly in ipad! This is completely a good news for me. I have some cool apps and games (free and purchased) in my iphone, so I just need to download them again ^^
  • iWork for ipad is available. We don’t always browse the net, listen to music, or watching movies all the time, do we? ^^ Sometimes Most of the times we work, right?? And I’m so relieved to know apple also provide iWork for iPad with relatively cheap price too. Have you seen the video of keynote for iPad? It’s gonna be awesome presenting with iPad ^^
  • It’s pretty cheap for a touch portable computer! I think I can afford it in two months time ^^

Less good news than bad news it seems. But worry not! There will always be hackers to solve the bad news just like what they did to iphone ^^ A lil bit obstacles can spice up the life, don’t you think? ^^
