Asada Mao Doll

Asada Mao Doll. I didn’t realize that yesterday, March 3rd, Japanese celebrates Hina Matsuri, a Girl’s (Doll’s) Festival. To celebrate it, someone (or some company) made a human doll out of the most popular woman in the last few days in Japan (and some other countries too), Asada Mao. Asada Mao is a Japanese figure skating champion who didn’t manage to grab the gold of Winter Olympics 2010. I’m not a big fan of sport, but I was surprised to know that Figure skating is such a famous sport. Particularly to Japan and South Korea, figure skating seems like a bloodless war between the two. After Asada Mao’s defeat from Yuna Kim of South Korea, 2ch, a famous BBS in Japan, got flooded by bashes towards Yuna Kim. Then recently, 2ch’s server’s suddenly down due to a cyber attack which’s claimed to be originated from South Korea. Wew, what a sport!
